Chirokinetic TherapyWhat is CKT? What happens during a CKT treatment? On an initial visit to a CKT practitioner you will first be tested to establish the problem areas of your body, as well as for any allergies or intolerances. The whole experience differs in time for every "body" and it is advisable to allow 1 hour for the initial consultation and treatment. The method used is muscle testing and for this you will need to lie down on a treatment couch ( fully clothed). Your right arm is generally used for testing with your left hand being used to hold products. The practitioner will test the resistance in the muscle to a variety of organs and systems in the body. Once testing is complete and a clearer "picture" has been established, the practitioner then applies the CKT movement (this can be likened to a flicking motion and is done by hand), to the cranium, if you have any problems in this area your practitioner will adjust the treatment accordingly. You will then be tested again and a response time will be established, this response time is to enable your body to begin the re balancing process and can be anything from 5 to 40 minutes. After your response time, you will then be retested to ensure that the treatment has been successful. On subsequent visits, the procedure is very similar, although less time is necessary as the testing procedure is not as lengthy. Each time you visit you will be tested to establish how long is needed between visits or indeed if any further treatment is necessary to the body. |
